Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-28
This policy explains how information is handled in ChordMelo.
1. Information we collect
The Service requires no account and collects no personal information such as your name or email address. Chord progressions and settings you enter are processed only in your browser and are not stored on a server.
2. Analytics
We use cookie-free, anonymous analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand overall usage. No personally identifying information is collected.
3. Usage counts
To decide what to improve, we record anonymous per-visit counts such as how many melodies were generated, how many were played back, how many MIDI files were saved, and which language was displayed. These records contain no IP address, user agent, country, referrer, or the chord progressions you entered. The value identifying a visit is temporary and discarded when you close the browser tab, so visits cannot be linked to the same person over time.
4. Browser storage
Recent settings and generation history may be stored on your device using localStorage. You can clear this from your browser settings.
5. Advertising
If advertising is introduced, consent will be requested where local law requires it, and no targeted ads will load before consent is given. Melody generation and MIDI downloads remain available whether or not ads are shown.
6. Contact
For questions about this policy, please contact the site operator.
