The current DrumMelo and BassMelo engines export the MIDI using fixed seeds. We then apply original sounds to that MIDI to create each WAV. Open the same note pattern from each sample's edit button.
Some of these may not sound as genre-accurate as you expect — please take that in good humour. There is no trained model here: the feel of each genre comes from rules we wrote by hand for which beats to hit, which ones to accent and how far behind the beat to place them. The sounds are our own synthesis rather than commercial samples, so the texture differs from a real record. Take whichever ones you like.

How to trigger Splice sounds with Melo MIDI
This keeps the notes of Melo's MIDI exactly as they are and swaps only the sound they trigger. We use one-shots licensed on Splice here, but the same steps work with any sounds you already own.
How this video was made: This tutorial video was produced by applying properly licensed Splice Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat and Bass sounds to MIDI exported from DrumMelo and BassMelo.
- Export MIDI from DrumMelo or BassMelo and import it into Logic Pro.
- Select each Kick, Snare, Hat or Bass MIDI track and change its instrument to Quick Sampler.
- Download a licensed one-shot in Splice Desktop, then load it into Quick Sampler.
- Match the Root Key to the MIDI note if needed, then repeat for each track. The MIDI rhythm and pitch stay intact while the timbre changes.
Key point: This does not place a Splice loop on a new audio track. Melo's MIDI notes trigger the Splice Kick, Snare, Hat and Bass sounds.
Licensing note: The downloadable WAV files were created by applying original sounds to Melo MIDI. They contain no Apple or Splice assets.

No attribution required and monetization is allowed. Standalone resale, redistribution and registering the isolated sample in Content ID are prohibited.

Can I use these samples commercially?
Yes. Use the WAV and MIDI files for music, video, games, advertising and monetized content. You may not redistribute or resell the files as standalone assets.
Do they work outside Logic Pro?
Yes. The WAV and standard MIDI files work in Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, GarageBand and other compatible DAWs.
Do the downloads contain Splice sounds?
No. Every downloadable file is original. Splice only appears in the production tutorial showing how to combine sounds inside your own licensed project.
